Afternoon drive

After a busy morning at the charity shop (and after a very uninspiring lunch at the local sports centre), I decided to enjoy the beautiful afternoon weather with a drive in the countryside.

It was such a peaceful and serene drive round the county, ending up at a small village called Athelstaneford. As well as being beautiful, the village is known as the birthplace of the Scottish Saltire. This is acknowledged in the small, but lovely exhibition in the refurbished 16th century Doocot, which you can see in the blip.

All in all, a beautiful and tranquil afternoon … all days should be like this.

I hope you have had a similarly serene day.
