Parabuteo Unicinctus or Harris’s Hawk.

While doing a spot of shopping in Falkirk this morning I came across this young lady on the arm of a local falconer.
He (and this bird) are being employed by the local council to help discourage the local gull population. However, said gulls are seldom put off, they merely keep clear of those needle sharp talons and land back again when the coast is clear!
After a cool misty start, the sun burned through and we have enjoyed another beautiful sunny day.
