Sunny!

We finally got to sit on the Infinity viewpoint. But though it was sunny it was a cold wind and only 12 degrees. Still the view was lovely! 

After a walk we left the hotel and had a short stop in Bowness ( early enough to find a parking place !)  and popped into Lakeland leather to spend my voucher.. another  handbag to add to my collection but a small one for walkies, just big enough to hold phone, purse and keys .


We then drove into Ulverston but parking was impossible.  We aimed for the Gill as it's never too full but they have set up a travelling fairground and so there was nowhere to park.

 So we then went to our other choice along the old road only to find the whole road is dug up for gas pipe renewal.

 Eventually we parked outside the town at M&S. We managed to park in the shade, left  Fletch in the car with the windows open  and walked briskly into town to the Opticians for M to collect his new specs. Swopping between  new prescription sunglasses  and old clear vision specs has given him migraines this week so I'm glad hes now got new specs. 
They gave us a box of chocs as a "sorry for the delay" present which was a pleasant surprise and nice of them especially  as it wasnt their fault! 
Back to the car where a chilled Fletch was snoozing. 
And home.
