On the verge

What a beautiful day we had today, blue skies and sunshine from sunrise until sunset. I liked the way the sunshine lit up the self-seeded conifers of various sizes along the edge of the track where Bertie and I walked. I was also taken by a spiders web that I saw suspended between two tree trunks and the way the shaft of sunlight caught it I thought it looked like a DVD hanging high in the trees. (extra)
By the afternoon, it was too hot (22 degrees) for me to work in the full sun in the garden so I had to find a shady area to work in and that suited me fine.
In the evening Nick and I got hooked on a new six part thriller on tv, the Night Sleeper. It is full of all sorts of twists and turns.
