Nicola Monk came to visit

Another chilled out day at home today started rather dramatically when next door rang the doorbell to say one of the cats had escaped and was a few gardens down. I leapt out of bed and grabbed my dressing gown and went legging it outside shouting Nala!! Babies!! Nala!! Babieeeeeeeeeeees!! I've been letting her out into the garden without a harness lately thinking she won't go anywhere with her babies in the house. When I want her to come in, I just call Nala! Babies! And in she runs. Jake said that Mike had let her out when he left for work an hour ago. He told me he'd looked everywhere and couldn't find Nala, so it was her that had done a runner. I was so panicked. Until, that was, I turned round and there she was inside the kitchen/diner looking out at me as if to say what you shouting me out there for? Here I am! She had never escaped all along, it wasn't Nala the neighbour had seen, and Mike confirmed he had brought her in before he left for work. Blooming eck, talk about panic stations for nothing! This resulted in Eva being woken up early when she'd already woken at 4 am and 7 am which isn't usually like her, so she's been shattered all day.

Eva's new little sunsuit and hat arrived today so I tried them on her as the suit looked too small and the hat looked too big lol. As today's pic shows, she's more than happy with her new attire. I cannot wait to take her swimming now :-) she looked soooooo cute! Nom nom nom!

Mike surprised us at lunchtime and popped home to make us lunch with a lovely fresh French stick and some ham and salad mmmmmmm.

Nicola Monk came round in the afternoon with Isabel and Sebastian, I hadn't seen her in ages so it was fab to have a quick catch up and see her lovely kiddy winks.

Finally got Mike to do me some decent kitten pics when he got in from work, so am excited to see how they've turned out.

Mike and Jake cooked some burgers, hot dogs and chicken on the barbecue for tea whilst I fed Eva and settled her down for the night. We did get a bit carried away doing our chatterings again and raspberry blowing so I was gone for over an hour but oh well hehe xxxx :-)
