Barter

Today I had lunch with Steve, an indigenous artist friend who wanted to trade some of his artwork for a copy of my book Engaging Strangers.  He was pictured in the book with seven other street friends; he told me that since that photo was taken, only two of those people are still alive.  Life is hard on the street.
