Pulling Strings?
It was nice when I got up.
Shortly after there was thick fog.
The one advantage about that was it showed up the spider webs .... so I went out and took some pictures of them.
I started making a piece on the lathe which is intended to go to SWMBOs cousin in Manchester. It isn't going to be quick.
By the time I stopped for coffee it was clear blue skies ... so I used the infrared camera to take pictures of it and turn it black (as you do). Pictures are over here.
We have been unable to get on to the website for our trip to France (we have never had confirmations and there is no way we are paying their stupid prices to book in at the airport (£55 per head per flight) so we headed off to the travel agent to have a chat.
It turns out that they can do it ... but they need our passport details.
So it was back home, lunch and back to the travel agent.
5 minutes and it was done ... with the correct print-outs (apparently Ryan Air have a system where it prints out on both sides of the paper if it is 2 people travelling together ..... and they refuse to accept it at the airport claiming they need one for each person). Even the travel agent says they have things set up to get the most money out of people without any recompense.
During the afternoon I actually managed to complete the turning - and the sanding - and the first coat of finish done.
I call that a successful day.
