Porcospino

A better collection of walnuts today - they are starting to fall clean of their outer casings. Came across these porcupine quills where there are also boar tracks - an altercation?

I’ve never seen a porcupine on our land but clearly they pass through. A formidable foe that can grow to the size of a Labrador; their barbed smaller spines can be deadly to aggressors as they remain embedded and lead to infection.
