And is that haze caused by all the smoke from central Portugal, where hundreds of huge wildfires are still blazing?? 

Praying for the winds to die down and rain to fall. Friends are cut off, all roads around them blocked, visible flames in three directions. His Mum has had properties burnt, not slept for three days, keeping a frightened watch as the flames have come so close; he saw her crying on the news.

The photo is from Bengt's terrace in São Bento. Took our last cava from Spain to welcome him back after over four months away in Sweden, hard to come back to an empty house without Gunilla, but as he said, life goes on.
