Today we took a walk out to Lamorna Cove. The walk is described as “challenging” due to the steep gradients, scrambling over granite outcrops, walking up streams and cliff-edged pathways. We made it across and took our reward of fresh crab tacos.

Lamorna Cove, best known for the post-impressionist artists who stayed in the early part of the 20th century. The colony included Lamorna Birch, Alfred Munnings, Laura Knight and Harold Knight.

Lamorna is also famed for its granite, buildings include Admiralty Pier at Dover, London County Council offices, the Thames Embankment, Portland Breakwater, the Bishop Rock Lighthouse and the Wolf Rock Lighthouse.
