Hôtel de Ville

The town hall in Prades has just had a facelift. I do like to see those three words written large which are so important to the French constitution and values, freedom, equality and brotherhood (and sisterhood of course.) I also like to see the three flags flying, the French flag accompanied by the Catalan and the European flags. I just wish the European flag could still be flown in Britain. I was reading only today about the economic cost of lost trade with the EU which is worsening. That and the lost opportunities for freedom of movement, especially for young people still make me sad.
I was quickly finished in the market and returned home to do some admin. In the afternoon I went to French conversation. There were only three of us but we sat in the sunshine and put the world to rights.
