In memory

Popped up to the Lancashire Mining Museum at Astley this afternoon. John had volunteered there with his friend P for several years. He got an enormous amount from this, feeling useful and part of a real community. So at the funeral this was one of the charities we asked for donations for (the other was the project at Age UK Salford who provided me with counselling and other support). I finally managed to pay the money across, and it was great to hear how much they’d appreciated all John’s efforts (even when his ability was rapidly declining).
