Backblip 6 Sept Howick Hall, Northumberland
Backblip. On our first full day I was up at 6am and looked out of the curtains only to see two hares about 8 feet away, nibbling the grass and trees. I watched them for about 20 minutes, it was magical. We decided to reacquaint ourselves with Bamburgh and Seahouses (nice new cafe in Seahouses) and then we went to Howick Hall (in extras, the Home of the Earls Grey and the eponymous tea) for lunch, a good walk around and then a cup of delicious Earl Grey Tea with cake. The dragonfly was laying it's eggs around the pond and I rather liked this glimpse through the undergrowth. We then popped to see the Bathing House in extras which the second Earl Grey (Prime Minister in the early 19th century) ) built for his 16 children to enjoy the rock pools. It's a property you can rent (it looks beautiful inside) but apparently it is booked up a year in advance.
