What a difference a day makes....

I had been saving our fuschia bush as a blip for the future as it normally flowers through most of the summer. However, I did take a couple of shots yesterday but today was dismayed to see that nearly all the flowers were dying, so I thought I had better strike while the iron is hot ( very hot, indeed ! ). Here are a couple of before and after shots taken just a day apart.

Having sung my paeon to fading flowers earlier this week, I think I may have to eat my words as far as the fuschia is concerned. The pretty bell-like shapes have totally drooped and the petals have simply frizzled up. Look LARGE if you want to see what a heatwave can do.
