Ploughed Field
My day started with another hospital appointment to get my wound checked over. I am not convinced there was much checking done today, as the guy basically asked/told me what he was doing, then slapped another dressing on it, and sent me off with two spare dressings, just in case I needed them, and instructions to call NHS24 if anything gets worse over the weekend. I didn’t feel reassured as to whether it was continuing to improve or not. I can confirm it is still sore – but that is all relative to how painful it was last week.
I came home and had breakfast then got on with a load of chores, which have been overlooked for the past few weeks, and laundry of course as it was a lovely day. Meanwhile BB was still in bed. Late morning, I popped out for a wee walk in the sunshine, walking around by Amisfield Garden, and did a bit of shopping on way my way home. We had a late lunch when I got back home. BB had thought I would bring some lunch home, and was rather disappointed, but I made paninis, so he was happy enough with that. He will soon be making his own lunches (and all other meals!). He then went out for a pre-University haircut. I then dragged him out for the last few things he needs for University, before coming home for more chores.
TT was out tonight. I should have been out too, but turned the officer down due to generally feeling pretty rubbish these past couple of weeks, although I am now feeling much much better now. BB chose Alanda’s for his last supper, but when we got there they only had chips left, so we went in search of another fish and chip shop and got excellent (and huge portions) fish suppers. We brought them home to eat. I gave the biggest one to BB and he struggled. I somehow ate most of mine, but may not need to eat again this weekend.
BB and I watched The Nightmare Before Christmas, then I watched a silly rom com – which is not my kind of movie – but it didn’t take much concentration. BB was not interested, so he went off and started organising himself for the big move tomorrow - at last!
These clouds are over a recently ploughed field. The extra is a calendula in Amisfield Garden.
