Mostly Six Five Oh

Through a smeary airplane window.

A long trip. No airplane (no one was informed why), then one of their spare planes available, but not catered, crew were supposed to be going to Phoenix but all change to San Francisco.  That was one hour...  Then once on the plane an interminable wait for clearance to leave due to air traffic control restrictions at SFO because of high winds and only 2 runways functioning.  All, including pilot, unsure if we were going to be able to leave.  We left on Sunday and we squeaked down with just 4 minutes left to the day, Monday when we finally disembarked with cheery farewells of "Good morning!  Get some rest!" from the poor crew - talk about grace in a stressful job.  Thankfully just a quick drive home for us but for others - we all had to stay seated while the poor folks with now compressed international flight connections hustled off the plane first to continue their long journeys ahead.

Couple of parting shots, the new McCartney exhibition at PAM has opened, will catch that when I'm next up.  A couple of stickers made me laugh, Richie Tenenbaum - I think the Royal Tenenbaum's is probably one of my favorite Wes Anderson movies.  Finally SF and the loop around the bay and peninsula before coming in for a bumpy landing, very windy.
