Rowanberry harvest
Decided to give making rowan and apple jelly a go - inspired by a blip by Feorlean.
I toured the neighbourhood for a couple of days looking for rowan trees which are very common in the front gardens here (but we don't have one). Lots of lovely berries but it seemed too cheeky to start snipping the ones hanging over fences and walls - tempting though it was. Before I started to widen the search to parks I remembered that my folks have one!
Deal done: berries for a share of the jelly, if I managed to produce any. Dad and I had good fun with the harvest.
On to the next stages - I'm sure I'll learn what does and doesn't work. It's a test run for our crab apples, which are ripening nicely.
