Highland spring
The sun was shining the last couple of times that we walked to the bone caves at Inchnadamph on June 28 2018 and 4 August 2013. Today, however, it was very wet. Even though we were fully waterproofed-up, we returned to the hotel completely soaked. Happily a hot bath and afternoon tea put us right again.
This interesting stream is found early into the walk. Normally you might expect it to be fed by a waterfall. However, there is no waterfall to be seen in this picture. This is because the source of the water is underground. The stream bubbles up to the surface about 5 metres from the point at which I took this shot.
The skies cleared this evening to show off the beautiful landscapes near the hotel. In my extra is the view from our bedroom window.
Our holiday is almost over now. We're heading home tomorrow, have a couple more days on our own, and then on Friday will be collecting Mummy hazelh (currently on Holy Island with my not-so-little sister).
Exercise today: walking (only 6792 steps - it felt a lot more).
