Feline Chauvinism
My previous blip touched upon a bird-watching excursion. Next morning, I found a very good-but-cheap pair of binoculars at our local thrift shop. I gave them a good cleaning and tried them out a bit, even though the heat is making both human and birdish activity minimal.
I was very pleased with my new toy but Carlo's remarks were quite the opposite. "Birds? Ha! A bird can't cute its way through a bag of peanuts!"
He's arrogant but he's right. It must be because they're less like us than are cats, but birds are interesting, resourceful, elegant, and industrious. They don't usually do cute.
