My day

1965 Ford Cortina GT 500

Oh no, it must be almost race time. Bathurst is known for its car racing circuit called Mt Panorama and every spring they hold the “great race”. Half of our town loves it and a quarter hate it. I’m one of the rest who really don’t care much. Of course they have window displays and all the trappings of race fever. We walked up to the Library and saw this car in the foyer. This car won in 1965. We were interested as both Bob and my first cars were Cortinas. Bob’s was this vintage with 4 doors and mine was a later model. This one is now in the National Motor Museum and comes out to promote the race.

We had a white frost this morning, -4.5° C. It has burnt the hydrangea and the blossom but I haven’t really noticed other damage yet.

Met Sandra at Harvest cafe. We hadn’t caught up since May so had lots of news to share.

At lunch time I filled out some comprehensive forms for the hospital visit on Wednesday. I wrote the wrong date 22 times. I put 10 for October instead of 9 for September. Bother. I was trying so hard not to make a mistake. I can see how I made the mistake, I was just looking at the library receipt and thought the due date was the date of issue. I was thinking the year was going fast.
