Sunset sail
Thursday
The forecast for the day had suggested there would be a bit more wind today, however when we first got up, it seemed as still as ever. Phil suggested meeting at about 12.30 for a sail, as the wind often picks up in the afternoon. So Roger and I decided to go for a paddle while we were waiting. We had been out for about an hour, and we got a text- could we make it back for 11.30? So we had to do some pretty hard paddling heading back, as the wind was beginning to get up, and we were heading into it! So we went out today with Phil, and Bob and his wife, the other couple that were camping there. I’ve put another collage, showing Bob trying out the trapeze - Roger also had a go too. Phil had another friend coming up for the afternoon, together with his mentee of a number of years, so they took the afternoon slot, while we went cycling from Corwin. As we were on our way back, we had another text from Suzanne - were we interested in a sunset sail, so of course we replied Yes please,, and met them at the dock about 6.30. By this time, the wind had dropped a bit again, so we had to resort to using the motor a few times, but it was a beautiful sail. When we got back, we had to return to our camper to eat and get the bikes back on the camper, and the kayaks back on the car, ready for an early return home in the morning.
