The sky on Saturday night

Why! because Saturday night and Sunday morning, yes I know it sounds like a film, was a pain all round.

Here goes, When Paula got up Saturday she found the place on her leg where the graft was taken from was bleeding a bit through the dressing, she did what they had said and applied pressure but it didn't stop it, and throughout the day it seemed to get worse, By late evening we were rather worried, So she had an emergency number to ring, I rang for her and the person I explained things to said, ring 999 for an ambulance and go to LGI A&E so I did, explained to the girl and she said said the ambulance would b about and hour and 40 mins but they arrived in under the hour. After general assessment they took us to A&E. By now it was after 11pm. She was checked in, had her blood [pressure etc done, then we waited, eventually a nurse came and took her in a cubical , when she came out the nurse said she would go find the doctor from the plastic surgery ward, about 20 minutes later she came back ad said she had told her but she would be awhile as she had quite a few patients to see.
After sitting for ages  another nurse came and said she had found Paula a cubical and took us to another part were lots of people were waiting in cubicles to be seen. She even brought her a trolley bed and blanket. We then sat and waited until 3am, when the doctor did come looking for her, they had forgotten to put on the computer which cubical she was in. She was a really nice young woman, and took off the dressing, and said it needed a tighter dressing, so she did it, then went and brought us a coffee and biscuits, and said give it half an hour, if it's not bleeding you can go, So at 4am a nurse came and checked it then said we could go,
As we left in a hurry we didn't bring much money with us so we asked if we could get patient transport home, the nurse went off and a woman came and said yes she had booked it for us, by 6am we were still waiting, so I said I am fed up and I want to go home so how much have you got in your purse and how much have I got with me, we managed to get together £20 which was about what the taxi fare would be, so went in search of someone to tell we were going, then the woman appeared, so we asked how long the transport would be she said she had no idea it could be ages. so we said we have cobbled together taxi fare can you show us the way out, which she did, she even rang the taxi people for us. We got home at 7am Sunday morning. had a cuppa and went to bed till lunchtime and have spent most of Sunday afternoon asleep in the chair.

So that was our Saturday Night and Sunday morning.  The worse is the constant bleeping in the hospital all the time you are there it's like water torcher, it never stops.

Sunday it rained most of the day but it didn't bother me I was asleep.

Paula says thank you for all the good wishes.
I will catch up with your blips shortly
