Giant robber fly

Thank you for all the love yesterday.
Today was my first turn doing level crossing keeper on my own. All went well. Chatted to some passers by. Had forgotten my reading material so found myself just sitting watching the wildlife most of the time and so glad I did. A scrappy bit of ground by the railway was full of insect life - crickets, beetles, ants, ladybirds, flies, bees and wasps all doing their stuff. A very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable day.
