Country

I spent the day sure it was Sunday…I’ve totally lost track! We had a leisurely breakfast and then four of us set off for a longer walk around different fields and lanes whilst G went for the papers and some fresh bread. The weather was beautiful again and warmer than yesterday so we had a lovely time, admiring the pigs in a field, picking some late blackberries and chatting on and off about grandchildren, mutual friends and etc.
Back home for some salad and bread and cheese etc for lunch and more chat….G remembered me arranging an exchange for her friend’s son many years ago that I had absolutely no memory of but eventually dredged a glimmer of it up…goodness my memory’s even worse than I thought!
I left them and set off to MK, once again straightforward trip and getting to the denouement of the detective story…unfortunately there was still another hour or so to go after I arrived at K’s. O&Ot were here and it was good to hear him chatting on about bins and bin lorries and see him dancing to music videos. T came round briefly in between work sessions…looking tired but sounded quite chirpy, talked about Bournemouth and football and Thailand and pride weekend and then he stayed for roast chicken supper before going back to work and O&Ot went home.
K and I repacked our bags…the weather forecast had been saying it will be warm and sunny all week in Venice and Padua when I was packing on Thursday, but it’s now saying cooler with rain so I have all the wrong clothes with me :(
We have to get up at 3am so I’d best get to bed!
