Nature Diary...A Lovely Autumn Day

The sun was shining all day and  white clouds drifted gently across the lovely blue sky. Compared to the seasonal sight of holidaymakers all was strangely quiet and very peaceful.
The occasional yacht drifted by on the calm, deep blue sea, and small birds fed speedily and cautiously on the refilled feeders in the garden, where the newly mown lawn smiled it's gratitude, having been ignored recently because of the rain.
In the distance the local farmer was busy in his field once more, way up high on the cliff, and flocks of seagulls followed him, searching the ground for any tasty up-turned titbits.
How wonderful and how very peaceful this lovely sunny day has turned out to be.
