Grey Heron

There were 5 heron today. They seem to have settled again. Same 5 as yesterday. They all flew down to the slope as I arrived there. The shot is the little female. It sometimes takes a stranger to remind you how lucky you are. A woman spoke to me as I was feeding the little female at the clearing ( she flew there from the slope). She asked if it had been me on the slope, when I said yes she asked what type of birds they were as they were huge (she had seen them landing all around me. I explained what they were and she mentioned how lucky I was to be able to start my day with such a wonderful sight.
