North Shore to the Windward Side
It's our last day today. We couldn't decide what to do! We made an overly ambitious plan - of which we had to abandon half of.
I started by waking up before everyone else to enjoy coffee on the lanai in solitude. I really love that we have a ground floor unit. So open and airy. I included a photo of it in my extras.
We made one more visit to the beautiful Haleiwa in the North Shore. We saw sea turtles feeding at Laniakia Beach. Mimi saw her first horses up close. We stopped at the North Shore food trucks for delicious srhimp and rice from Giovanni's Shrimp Truck and cold coconuts. We did a lovely chocolate tasting at the Manoa Chocolate Shop and purchased a lot of chocolate. They put it on ice for us in an insulated bag because we spent the rest of the afternoon at the beach. We enjoyed a whole loaf of mochi banana bread while sitting in the sand.
Today's main photo is from Kualoa Beach Park - I had put it on our day's itinerary to spend some time here, but alas, we had to continue on. So, a waive and a photo will do. The drive was gorgeous and we soaked it all in.
