Brassica cage
A choice of not very interesting photos today. I had a shot of the tomatoes in the greenhouse, a sunset, apples being dried (better than watching paint dry I suppose) or my new brassica cage.
The cage won as I was pleased that my design worked. The chestnut poles are not driven into the ground where they can rot, they are slotted into a length of drainpipe which has been hammered into the ground. This also makes it easier to move to a new position in the future.
I will add some struts to strengthen the structure but it will do for now.
A super day, a little chilly first thing, no sharp showers today. A morning HITT and then a walk to collect euros for next week. Called the post office to find their manager is away til next week so nothing can be done.
Full steam ahead with skinning and cooking g tomatoes for the freezer this afternoon followed by zillions of apples that I cooked as well as dried.
It’s nice to sit down!
