Incoming Rain…..

……. sweeping in from the northwest. I drove to the Taylor Dam to capture this view looking across the Wairau plain to the Richmond Range. Really strange weather. I expected heavy rain before I reached home but no, it hovered over the Richmond Range. As I write, rain is now falling here in Blenheim. Further down the South Island folk woke to unexpected, heavy snow falls with power outages in many inland areas. Luckily many rural folk have wood burners and do not need to rely wholly on heat pumps as do town and city dwellers. It is not very cold here…. Yet….. but I have the wood burner stove fired up. … Much to the delight of dog and cats.
