Kate Harwood has left the building

Last day in the office in Soho as I have one more day officially in the job and then start six months ‘gardening leave’ with some complicated terms attached.  It was an intense day.  

Met Manda for breakfast in Riding House Cafe, quite an industry haunt near the BBC.  Sure enough Piers and Jonny were at the next table.  It was very good seeing her. I then went to the office of another colleague who I might be doing something with.  

I then joined what is left of our team for a lovely lunch at Kamara who do a great set lunch for £23.  We upped the bill with wine and in Zeynep’s case, espresso martinis. It was fun and happy sad.  Back at the main office there were lots of people around and we gave away our Designer’s Guild cushions that I bought ten years ago.  I didn’t really see why I should leave them there.  I took two of them home - you can see them peaking out of my Liberty bag. 

Watched the final Sherwood - next stop Nightsleeper on Sunday!
