Northern lights, stars, and starfish

Just as we were giving up hope, the high alert for the northern lights delivered on its promise this evening. This is the scene across the bay at 22:10 - amazing!

In other news... the Foxes left this morning for a night of luxury in Dunkeld. We've loved having them here with us, but it's also great to be à deux once again.

We made two outings following their departure. The first was to the nearest shop to pick up some provisions. The second was to the beach beneath the cottage for a wander along the shoreline. Here we found quite a few stranded starfish (extra).

Back in the cottage we played a very interesting and high-scoring game of Scrabble. For once I was very careful at the end of the game, counting the letters. This gave me a win - but only just.

We have been watching the second series of Colin from accounts while we have been here, so caught up on a couple of episodes after supper. It's such a well-written show. Then it was time to stand out in the cold and wait for the show to happen - eventually...

Exercise today: none of note.
