Giornico

Annual weekend away with the music group. We took the train to Ambrì Piotta, on the other side of the Gotthard Pass. 16 of us rented bikes, and cycled first to Faido Waterfall, where we had a break, then to the wonderful little village of Giornico, where we had lunch at a Grotto.
We carried on cycling down to Bellinzona, a total of 58km away. It was hot, about 29 deg C. We had dinner, then enjoyed the wine festival in the town, lovely and warm evening outside, brilliant wines to drink, and lots of bands playing around the town. Not such a late one, in bed by 12.30.
