I was still feeling a bit bleurgh after the week of migraine and the prospect of a cuffing in Inverness via a 4.5 hour bus journey there and then the same back did not appeal. However, the boys were not to be disuaded so at 8am, they trekked off to town on the first leg of the journey.
I set about a more sedate journey to Stockbridge to fetch bread and sausages before reconvening at Silverknowes golf club with Her and Hound and off to Cramond Island in the haar we didst go.
After slithering across the causeway, we found a quiet corner to set up the stove and set about tea and sausage sandwiches.
A quick tour of the island and then back across the causeway, well ahead of the tide. Back to mine; I dropped stuff and with Her heading to the tan place and me to the supermarket, it was all back to Her's for more tea, a sleep and then I cooked dinner.
Off home in the gloom again - it lifted for an hour or so late afternoon but by night was back as thick as ever.
The boys came in around 11; pizza; a quick debrief and then everyone crashed out.
