summer daze

The girls taking it 'easy' after their 18 mile school hike today. It is a fundraiser done on the second to last day of term every year and they certainly travel some distance. This year however it was hot and sunny, (all previous years have involved waterproofs!) and they were all completely drained at the end.

Still I would liked to have swapped it for my day - adult responsibilities are just sometimes just not as enticing as children's - as I like to remind them!

Note the phone in the teenager's hand - organising tomorrow's after school party! It is such a similar story to my own school life - just ours involved a bit more pre planning via the land line!!!
