Early morning rain

I've been waking up early so  make a cup of tea and read until I get up. This morning the noise from the rain was very loud so I got up and looked out of the window.
I went into school today, a new class of reception children. Quite a few characters and names to learn. I only took them to the library and read a story, one where they had to open doors in the book. Some can't sit still, some can't turn take and some just keep interrupting!!!! A very different group to the past 3 years. Am sure some will improve its very early days. 
I took my car to be washed  then came home and had a nap!
It's almost wintry today, the wind is bitter and the heating is on.
