Thursday 12th September 2024. .

Had an unwanted visitor this morning...
I had just pegged my washing on the clothesline and I thought I'd check on my pots... I saw movement out of the corner of my eye and saw a tail disappear behind a pot plant... I stepped back as I wasn't sure if it was a lizard or a snake... So I had to wait till it came out from behind the pot on the other side.. Sure enough it was a snake... I then had to get my phone so I could take a photo for identification... it's a Yellow Faced Whip Snake - mildly venomous... I left it alone...
This afternoon I had to take my washing off the clothesline so I took an old broom handle out with me and made some noise tapping pots etc but I didn't see the snake so I quickly took my washing off and went back inside...
I'm hoping it's moved on as it rained heavily this afternoon and I don't want it hanging about...
