Historical

A lovely sunny day, with a fire and stewed brambles. 
In the evening I went on a historical tour of Saughton Park. It was really excellent and covered so much. Joe the guide is young and is an architectural technician.  He is particularly keen on 'reading' walls, there have been so many changes to these structures over the years. He also orientated as to where the main gate had been up to the house, old yew avenues,  ages of gates etc.
