A sunny afternoon
In the thumbnail, the corner of Henderson St and Tolbooth Wynd. In the foreground, a cormorant, some goosander, a mallard and some juvenile gulls.
Cool temperatures first thing, 7C. It warmed up to 11C in the afternoon. Walked over to Valvona & Crolla in the late morning; was too early for their chocolate cake delivery so bought raspberry chocolate brownies instead .. recommended. Spotted a new bus, very shiny - one of Edinburgh's first all electric double deckers.
The afternoon walk was by the Warriston path then by the Water of Leith. We had icecream and tea at Crollas (in the white and glass building in the blip) to celebrate my husband's birthday. Though to the Shore, the Victoria bridge, and the tram back up town.
