Spring Time in Akaroa

We make it over to Akaroa in time for the site meeting at the house, for the repair work from the flood damage. The insurance assessor had arrived but the poor builder got lost so ended up late as the GPS send him in the wrong direction. My place is hard to find, as it is a private road. 

The start date for the work to start is October 1. Now all the carpets are up there are a lot of big cracks in the slab floor from the earthquakes. So now I have to contact EQC. So that could hold everything up. 

I was told that everything has to be removed from the kitchen cabinets. We had taken the breakables but he said everything has to go. So now I have to find big enough boxes for the pots and pans etc. Also the built in shelves in the wardrobe need to be replaced. So it's packing up the linens etc. 

My son managed to mow the lawns again which makes the place look more cared for.

It was another long day and I didn't get back home to Christchurch until 7 pm.
