Ermelinda's "Príncipe"

At last we met Diogo in the flesh, and his rather more tired parents than when we were at his baby shower in April. Poor things, Diogo had been crying non-stop for a couple of hours. Eventually went to sleep and we could eat. Life is very different for all of them, but Cecílio is still an excellent cook.

Gratefuls:
- picking and cooking some of the quince from our garden, still hard, but the magpies have been at them, so must be ripe; baked them in sweet wine, with cloves, bay leaves, and maple syrup, delicious
- booking our flights to England for Christmas; it's been six years since we last had Christmas with the family
- catching up with Ermelinda and Cecílio, been a while
