Digging

I woke up to bright sunshine and remembered it was garden waste day. We pay for two garden waste subscriptions so I like to make sure both bins are full for every collection. The grass was still wet from the recent rains so mowing the lawn wasn’t an option. Instead I finally took on digging out the weed filled veg bed. It was very satisfying to clear the bed, start clearing the fruit cage and cut a load of brambles from the hedge. All that before starting work!
I really need to formulate a veg plan now as there is a danger it will just refill with weeds over the winter.
Any suggestions on what to plant welcomed. I have a blank canvas in both the fruit cage and veg bed, plus plenty of planting room elsewhere in the garden.
