Our River Sunset
Today has been a long day, a day of unwelcome news but just something to deal with and like the man said Keep Moving Forward!
I was a bit blue today seeking solace in my music, encouragement from my friend and a chance to chat for a little while raised my spirits as did the sun and a warm summer breeze. The channel was too choppy for my friends daughter's sailing lessons a total contrast to our river. I could not resist her call tonight, needing a little time to ponder and to enjoy a little solitude in the late evening. There was not a soul to be seen as I meandered along the quay, the river was majestic rippling gently as the tide turned and started to gently run against the breeze.
The sun gently arced away dipping towards the hills golden in the gloaming. there were a few boats moored that were caught in the rays of the setting sun together with one of the two lighthouses on this little stretch of the river.
I hope you enjoy the shot, tomorrow is another day, and hopefully the sun will rise on a better day for us all, every day in very way a little stronger
