Vibrant

Just when I thought I might have to resort to a garden flower blip... The most vibrant rainbow I've ever seen appeared above the woods. Super hard to do justice to.

Treated myself to a l-o-n-g gym session this morning and had a humbling conversation:
There's a quite big (muscles) chap covered in diy tattoos who is often there when I go - he often makes noises when he's training, sits and stares etc, seems quite intimidating. But he always nods at me and other people. So I'm on a bench resting between sets, headphones in and theres a tap on my shoulder - it's him talking to me. I take out headphones and he's shouting whats written on my arms? His behaviour looks quite aggressive, other people move away, but his eyes are smiling and he seems genuinely curious. So I calmly show him my tattoos and when he asks why those words I tell him it's to remind me about the people who love me, who care about me, as sometimes I struggle to see or remember that....and he just sits down and starts crying.
We ended up chatting for a while and it turns out he used to be a sparky and a county level rugby player and he was in a car crash - all his fault and he now has a brain injury - so he can't control his voice or his emotions, doesn't know he's shouting or over excited- but he's really happy in the gym as he can see people getting fitter etc and he feels a connection. He'd like to be a coach but he forgets too much stuff. Most of his tattoos are reminders. A really lovely fella who's just had a shit few years and can't control some stuff anymore.
Everyone has a story worth hearing.
