milkweed pod

Yesterday afternoon I noticed that the milkweed in our neighborhood garden was letting  the seeds go, so I made a mental note to take a photo of some this morning. Much to my surprise all the seeds had been blown away over night, except for this newly opened pod! Such beautiful and careful packaging.
