Kitchen garden splendour

A little jaunt a few miles north to Stourhead House and Gardens today. The meandering walk around the estate takes in the kitchen/walled garden, the Palladian manor house, and the tree lined path around the lake. This landscaped area includes a range of architectural features including a mini Pantheon and a Temple of Apollo, not to mention a grotto!  

Lots of late summer in the kitchen garden.
