Breakfast view
Spent today mostly discovering 'the lie of the land', as G put it. A lie-in then some time on the balcony to enjoy the sea view, then breakfast with the view in the blip, then exploring the hotel - 9 floors with a sea view from each. We chose to settle next to the top pool and enjoyed reading punctuated by pool swims and cool drinks from the bar. I finished my John Boyle book and started another. So good to relax after yesterday's long flight. We chose the seaview seat for the evening dinner and loved seeing the sunset with Mount Teidi backlit on the horizon - romantic. The evening show was much better than expected with a modern twist on the salsa dancing, costume changes and lazer lights, which bodes well for the rest of the holiday.
