Caryopteris x clandonensis
This is a commonly found shrub, popular as it flowers in autumn when there are few blue flowering shrubs. It's name has often intrigued me since I first saw in in the 1960s. It is a chance hybrid of two species growing in the garden of Arthur Simmons, who lived in Clandon, Surrey. Not far from RHS Wisley.
