Thistle and building

I stumbled out of the building at about 8am, and my blip presented itself. Four welcome speeches, several meetings, and the chairing of a lecture later, I stumbled back to the building, having stuffed my face with a pizza at San Ciro, which is rapidly becoming my go to place when I need a quick bite on the way home.

At least it was sunny all day, which is great for Welcome Week, although latterly it was bitterly cold with a sharp wind paired with the sunshine. Another busy day smiling at people ticked off, marred only by another dispute about that perennial bugbear "space" kicking off. At least I don't see academics as an inconvenient "problem" in a university....
