Victorian Shop Signs

At the height of Summer, the Lady of the House was feeling the heat, so she didn't venture very far today. According to the Master's newpaper, it was one of the hottest on records (not that she had read it you understand, Ladies did not read newspapers as they wouldn't understand politics and the like contained therein - but what the Master didn't know ...)

Returning to the shop after a short walk, she noticed that some of the enamel signs on the fence were in danger of falling off. The Shopkeeper wasn't in the shop, so she couldn't warn him - nor was he in the basement area. "Really!", she thought, "He is never around. One of these days the Master will have to do something about him"

Like my Lady, I decided the heat was too much for another day out, so spent the day in the garden building the 1/48th (quarter) scale model farmhouse I got as a kit last Christmas. I managed to get all the interior decorating done, including a paved ground floor and planked upper floor, and glued the main carcass together. Still loads to do though!

So its a quick blip tonight incorporating the model signs as a nod toward HeartFreek's July Photo Challenge
