Collecting poppy seeds

The lovely large red poppies in my garden have finished flowering (see 07 June 2013). They don't last very long and the garden looks drab when they fade away.

After watering the veggie patch this evening after work I checked again to see if there were any seeds ready for collecting and there were. I have decided to collect some for when I move as I would miss the fantastic show they create every summer.

I am going to have to look up how to store them... probably somewhere warm and dry. Well that counts this place out in the height of winter!
